Successful Installation and Commissioning of Pump Pontoon in Cement Industry

SITE REQUIREMENT :

Rajasthan, being an inherently water-deficient state, with an extreme climate, water as a resource is not in plenty and summers are very hot. Our customer had a water reservoir, for storing water needed for their manufacturing process, in their cement plant. However, in the summer season, due to water evaporation and regular utilisation. There was severe depletion in water level and ultimately the reservoir turned dry!

Our customer was in search of an alternate water source, as their cement plant would be stalled due to this situation of the dry reservoir. Fortunately, there was a mine about 7-8 km away from the plant. which had a sufficient level of water in it. The challenge was to install a `temporary’ pump house in a small budget, at the mining area, in order to pump out the water to make use of it for manufacturing of cement.

With a constraint in the budget, the only option available for them was a PUMP PONTOON!

Vari Pontoons, stepped in at this stage, held a meeting with the concerned authority and pitched in the concept of `PUMP PONTOONS’. It would not only save them time but a lot of money as well, and that is how they would be well within their budget.

After having the first round of technical discussion with the authority, our technical team at VARI together worked out a solution.

The proposal was submitted which comprised of a Pontoon with two numbers of Pumps The authority was convinced regarding the invincible PUMP PONTOON solution, that was proposed by Vari. The contract was received from the Authority and thus TEAM - VARI, in the given time frame, with co-operation extended by the authority, successfully created another track record of a good and reliable installation of PUMP PONTOONS…
